Scott’s entry into the financial world began with his passion for educating and helping others. He received his Bachelor’s degrees from Salisbury University in Psychology and Elementary Education. While he enjoyed his time as an elementary school teacher, Scott felt frustrated by the limitations he had in the school districts and wanted to help another demographic of individuals in a more fulfilling way, bringing him to the financial industry. Now, Scott leads his clients with the same educational foundation, assuring they have complete knowledge of every aspect of their personalized financial plan.
As a seasoned financial expert, Scott holds professional designations including CFP®, CRC®, and RSSA®, along with licenses such as series 65, 66, and 7, alongside SIE and Insurance credentials. His extensive experience in the financial industry has earned him recognition from numerous media outlets, including CBS News, Fox 5 DC, Forbes, and US News & World Report. Growing up in Bowie, MD, Scott now lives in Laurel, MD with his wife and daughter. His favorite place to be is home with them. When not meeting with clients or spending time with his family, Scott enjoys video and board games, karaoke, tennis, and science fiction.
